Rad (FKA Rebeca Prado Pereira Radoszkowicz) is a queer (im)migrant from Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil by ways of Florida & Michigan. Born to an Israeli-born Jewish father and an Afro-Indigenous Brazilian mother. At the age of 7, when they first immigrated to the US, Rad was a professional model & actress in Miami. Appearing in modeling campaigns in Europe and commercials/TV shows on National networks.
Rad was classically trained in theatre/dance on scholarship and with honors at the renowned Interlochen Arts Academy and moved on to study Musical Theatre to received her BFA from Pace University in NYC. While at Pace University she was mentored by industry greats in Directing and was given a wide array of leadership opportunities.
Rad performed professionally in theatre, musical theatre and other performance based mediums. Rad now works at the intersection of various Art forms with activism, pursuing experimental performance at venues around NYC. She has been a Public Artist in Residence with the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, Co-Artistic Director of The Lost Collective, Director of Outreach with You Are Here. Their goals for the future involve continuing to perform in TV, Film, theatre and new media, along with creating Art with a conscience that creates space for healing, social and policy change.
